Majówka: the celebration of the Polish Constitution

Place: Spanish Quarter | City: false, Italia
On May 3rd 2014, from 1.30pm, in the beautiful and characteristic scenario of the Spanish Quarter at Erice, EasyTrapani in collaboration with the Association Arkè - Arte Archeologia e Cultura del Mediterraneo, organizes 'Majówka': the celebration of the Polish Constitution of May 3rd 1791, National Day of Poland; it will be the first time that Majówka will be celebrated in Sicily.
The anniversary of May 3rd, the quintessential moment of celebration for Poland, is characterized by the traditional picnic, appropriately called Majówka. Throughout Poland, since many generations, the Poles are taking advantage of this day to be in contact with nature, with family and friends; it is therefore comparable to the April 25th anniversary celebrated in Italy.
This event will be an opportunity for a social and cultural meeting between Sicily and Poland, made up of enogastronomy exchanges, music and more broadly cultural ties between the two traditions, aimed at a better combination between the two nations in a spirit of friendship.
Majówka will also end the existing contemporary art exhibition 'Transmutation', by Lilian Russo.
